You choose Page 61. You grab the toddler girl and take the gun from her. You quickly realize it's a flare gun. You shoot the flares into the sky. The loud sound of the flare shocks the toddler girl and she begins to cry. Meanwhile, the flare explodes into the night sky and on it's way up sparks hit a dead branch. The trees above set on fire! You are holding the toddler girl in your arms in hopes of calming her down to a low murmur. Its too late because the commotion has attracted attention. Moments later you are surrounded by a pack of wolves.

The wolves being pack animals become more aggressive towards you for leaving behind your vulnerable young. The entire pack of wolves run past the toddler girl leaving her unharmed. You are running as fast as you can. You feel the sweat dripping down your brow. As you put your arm up to wipe the sweat you feel teeth sharp as knives attach to your forearm. Then growling around your legs. First your right arm then your left leg. You are pulled down to the forest floor. You watch as your flesh is being chewed by the entire pack of wolves. Finally, you pass out to the smell of your fresh blood and the sounds of your bones crushing.

Life is a series of choices.
Just like in a Choose Your Own Adventure Book, you CHOOSE the storyline of your life. Then sometimes after we make the choice we turn back the pages to see if we made the right decision.
I could never get through a Choose Your Own Adventure book without re-tracking my choices and seeing if I had made a different choice how the story MIGHT have ended.
Maybe, if we stopped looking back in our life and second guessing ourselves & spent our time enjoying the flow of our choices in our current story line; it would be more enjoyable LIVING our story!
Similarly, when you read a Choose Your Own Adventure book, you can't ENJOY the story you are choosing if you keep going back to see what decisions you Could have made! It's frustrating and distracting!(I know you know what I’m talking about bc that’s the point of Choose Your Own Adventure books, Right?!?! LOL :)
Today, Make the Choice to Stop continually thinking and mulling over what Could Have Been! And instead spend your time enjoying and accepting where you are.
I challenge you to think of your life like a Choose Your Own Adventure book:
-You get to choose the outcomes
-Stop second guessing yourself & turning to past chapters. -Look forward & Read Onward!
-If you aren't happy with your past choices, like Throwing a toddler to the wolves ;)...You Can Change Your Storyline!
Your Life is YOUR ADVENTURE!!!
I think when we are born we should be given the same introduction to life that we are given in Choose Your Own Adventure Books:
"You are about to set off on an Adventure in which YOU will meet many dangers-and face many decisions. YOUR choices will determine how the story turns out. So be careful...you must choose wisely!"
