PUNK ROCK SELF-HELP

Rise & Fall of the Christmas Tree

Monday, January 14, 2013

We buy it.

Take it home.

LIGHT it up!

Decorate our beloved Christmas Tree with medals.

Keeping it On display.

Shown off to guests as Our Proudest symbol in the house...

Christmas Day arrives & our Christmas Tree bears gifts...

The pedestal stands firm from
December 26th to December 31st  as a welcome sign of the Holiday Festivities!

Until January 8th, Little Christmas, when Holiday decorations are to be taken down...

Only a day later on January 9th the mere sight of your beloved Christmas Tree evokes Shame, Embarrassment, Procrastination...

This all happening as your tree decomposes.

The longer it stands in place, is the longer it's honor falls to the floor just as it's needles.

Once the time arrives...your Christmas Tree is Stripped of Medals, Naked,
To be Disregarded.

Today, when was the last time you were raised up on a pedestal only weeks later to be discarded?! The Christmas Tree is a wonderful representation of obsessed idolization taken to utter downfall.

The cycle of Life.
Perhaps ;)
