"Amy (Winehouse) My Daughter"

I finished the book: "Amy, My Daughter" a week ago.

But...

Days after, I continued to carry the HEAVY hard covered book with me.

I think I didn't want to say Goodbye to her & her father...

Mitch, Amy's dad tells a loving tale of a father who will go to the end of this world into the next underworld of battling drugs and addiction to save his baby girl.

He "spoke" to me as if we were sitting in a Pub in Camden sharing a story and a pitcher of ale.

His journal entries are heartbreaking, honest and RAW.

We all know the ending but never knew the beginning...
Middle...
Or real journey that was being taken towards her end.

I thought Amy was a Spoiled party girl who unapologetic, let her addiction take her life. 

Rehab, was her anthem to F*CK OFF any possibility of the hope of getting help.

When I heard she died it was NO surprise.

Now...

I know that Amy Wanted better. 
She Wanted to live and was fighting tooth and nail everyday to keep sober.

Sobering story of a young artists' life taken too soon.


Mitch's book at 304 pages ended too soon.

Her songs end too soon...

I am left wanting more of Amy.

More for Amy.

Hoping, that she is enjoying her next journey. 
Bc through her Dad's words I was able to grow to Love and respect her earth's journey.

Today, TAKE the time to find out some one's story...

Maybe even your father's journey?!?

It may Surprise you!
You just might learn what you Thought you knew, was wrong...

Mitch inspired me to see my father's point of view of My life.

What would he write? How much would he be able & willing to share?

And what if I were to write a book of his life...
What would it be like?

I know what he means bc now I consider myself a friend of his through his love for Amy :)
