In junior high, I wasn't the best basketball player but I was good at playing defense. My coaches would yell, "Betsy cover #21"
& I would. Somehow I always seemed to get the rebound and have possession of the ball!
Years later when I play, I would be more concerned with How the opposite team must feel if I took the ball from them. Followed by my just giving the ball away bc they must need it more than I do...
My concentration has gone completely off of my wants or simply playing the game to being Overly concerned about how Everyone else around me feels.
Sounds nice.
But...
It's consuming.
It's a full-time job bc there is always someone who Didn't Get the BALL.
I find myself chasing after people giving them the balls they dropped bc I think this is the "right" thing to do.
But...
It can't be.
Bc..
It Costs me.
The time I spend worrying about how everyone else is feeling takes away from my time enJOYing the game.
I believe we were put on this earth to experience JOY.
How could I be experiencing my own JOY when it's always predicated on other people being in JOY?
In other words, I won't allow myself to be happy unless all those around me are happy First. THEN, I can be happy.
Yikes!
Today, You are Allowed to experience JOY :)))
Even if...
ESPECIALLY if...
those around you are not!
enJOY & try to be injoy :)
Let's ALL have a BALL!
;)
Xoxo
