PUNK ROCK SELF-HELP

fear

I am a lil shaking chihuahua inside.

Last Friday's post Art=YOU was ended with:

"Fear is an interesting pursuit to safety. Let's talk more about this next week. I'll noodle it over the weekend, my Kings & Queens you do the same!"

So...
I've been noodling it!

I got this part:
Fear is there to protect us Bc it's left over intuitions from when we needed signs for our very human survival.

The part that I'm hung up on is:
How many times in the past have I put myself in a dangerous situation and miraculously got myself out safely?!?!?

Zillions.

Think of this...

You see the yellow taxi coming down the street, they are going fast, but you are in a RUSH. You mad dash across the NYC street. The cab does not slow down. Miraculously you made it!

Every part of you said DON'T do it.
You did it.
Somehow you made it to the other side.
Unscathed.

Why are we concentrating on the taxi?!?!

It's inevitable that there will be objects gunning to derail us.

Concentrate on the times you got by, by the skin of your teeth.

Your teeth don't have skin!!!

But...

You did it.

My point is simple.

We all know and agree WHY there is fear.
Great.
Now, moving on.

Let's shift our attention to the times we have gone against it DAILY.

Today, 1)Take notice of all the crazy things you do going against that inner voice!

Eating that week old scallion cream cheese bagel that smells funny at the bottom of the fridge?!?

Why are we so risky with our health but not risk takers with our heart?!?!

We Choose to listen to the inner protective animal voice...
Only while pursuing our Dreams?!?!?

But not other times...
Just odd.

Again.
Fear is an animal instinct.
Take a risk.
Your instincts take over.
Those same instincts for survival instantly become resourceful to make IT happen. TRUST THEM, THEN.

Today, 2)Don't concentrate on the fear before you take a chance, choose to concentrate on the Superman reaction you have within you to save yourself after the bold choice was made.

Xoxo
Ps: notice fear isn't capitalized. It's just fear. It might feeeeeeeel like FEAR!!! but it's just lil itty bitty lower case to us ;)
