For reals!!!
I have been Social Media SHY for many years.
Sh*t blew up in my face when I broke up with an Ex and I haven't felt safe being Social on Media since.
So...
As of late, been putting myself out there again.
Like, OUT there, OUT THERE.
Exposing myself to real ridicule.
My biggest Social Media fear was Trolls. The anonymous ones that sweep in with hate and spew negativity.
Years ago, my Sh*t Ex experience was with Trolls I knew. And that was tough enough.
So...
The most crippling idea was strangers preying on me via Social Media.
Turns out...
It's not so bad!
In fact, it's kinda funny.
They say crazy a*% stuff that makes NO sense!
What's even crazier has been
feeln 100x's better when I respond.
Feedback I've heard is don't engage yadda yadda.
But...
That doesn't work for me.
What does is...
Responding back with equally random and hilarious stuff.
I get belly laughs from me Trolls be Trolln responses.
It's basically, on the same level as "Yo Mama" jokes in NYC when we were 10.
In fact...
When Trolls post offensive stuff it makes me shut down if I DON'T respond back.
Once addressed, I felt 100% better.
No stranger danger should affect my art. Period.
Today, been Bullied lately?!?
It doesn't necessarily have to be on a virtual or a real playground.
I saw this poor woman being Bullied at this Clothing store.
She kept saying she didn't like the pants to the Sales associate . And 3 of them cornered her telling her she "HAD to buy them Bc it looked so good on her!" She looked good but was feeling cornered. Especially, Bc it's one of those stores that only has a mirror out of the dressing room.
I heard her scramble to jet out of there!
It can happen at anytime...
It's how we are able to respond quickly and in the moment that matters!
There would be No Trolls πΉif we weren't crossing bridges π. Sometimes we have to leave the comfort of our little nest π‘to find the rainbow π.
ππΌst.
π― on their grave later ;)
