Not sure about you but the day my best friend gets brutally beaten and hung on a cross is anything But a "Good" day of the week! And the night my oldest son Might be passed over to be killed because of MY religious beliefs is anything But a "Happy" night.
This year both holidays land on the same day. It's Good Friday and at sunset the beginning of Passover. I understand the need for us to put a pretty bow on bad events. But there are lessons to be learned in the reality of the beliefs. Hallmark has done a great job of adding the Happy and the Good to our spiritual holidays. Let's be sure to reflect on the true messages of these spiritual days.
And if you don't believe in these holidays reflect on the certainty that you are going to hell! Just kidding!!! ;))))) you can believe in anything you would like to believe in! Bc I believe in tolerance & the Easter Bunny :)
Again, if you don't believe in either of these holidays think if we packaged recent days of remembrance as "Happy Sept 11th Day" or "Good Darfur Holocaust Day".
Those are "Too Soon" so I guess it takes thousands of years to pass & then the severity of the weight of what believers believe took place can be packaged as "Happy" or "Good"!?!?
Today, no matter what your beliefs reflect on reflecting :)
Have a "Good" & "Happy" Holiday Weekend!!!
Ps: This post is reposted from April 6, 2012. This year Pasosver isn't the same day as Good Friday but the message remains. And...sooooo looking forward to decorating this Passover. Post to come ;)
