I am a Human File cabinet work robot 🗄 🤖👩🏻‍💻

The sky 🌌 is falling in my business right now. Last week I was super duper emotional about it. 

Felt like I was letting down all of the clients who depend upon me and expect me to work my magic. 

Trust that I still am working my tail off and working magic ;).

Just different and harder than it was a few months ago. 

Understandably so. 

Global Pandemic and all. 

I get my sense of self-worth from my business career. If I’m doing well and making money then I’m successful. 

Times I’m not making deals happen, I’m not successful and feel like total sh*t about myself. 

Obviously, this is a dangerous way to approach esteem in normal times. 

Now...

Global Pandemic and all...

Especially toxic for my esteem. 

Been working hard to make my esteem dependent upon stuff other than $$$ this past year. When I realized how conditional my self love was, I got hard to work. Still a work in progress.

Then this hits! Great opportunity to exercise my new approach to self-worth. ;)

Work is rough Bc I take all of the failures on personally. Trying this new trick. It’s kinda odd and strange. 

But...

I’m visual so it’s helping me! 

I imagine myself being a file cabinet 🗄. 

As Emotions and words come at me it all gets dumped into a file. Then I turn and deliver that file to the next person. 

My job is to volley information back and forth.

Not absorb their feelings and angst. 

So...

I’m a file cabinet 🗄 .

Just a piece of furniture. Who holds information. 

This has been working tremendously!!!

Bc I get to be a fun human in my personal life and a file cabinet 🗄 in my work life. I’m still engaged and working magic just not taking it needlessly personal. 

Today, Do you take your work home with you?! Funny question now Bc we all are Working from Home! 

Do you find yourself so absorbed by work stuff that you can’t enJOY human fun down time stuff?!

Is there a shift that needs to happen? 

Maybe there is a visual you can come up with to help you cope?!!
