After, years and years of baristas butchering my name...they FINALLY got it correct. 

Sigh.

I was chatting it up with my friend when asked my name. Usually, I use my pseudonym Karina to make things easier on us all. 

But...

Ya see I was in the midst of telling a juicy story so my real name slipped out. 

He repeated it. 

I braced myself. 

A lil anxious bc I might have to get into a fist fight with a Lexie, Maxie, or Stephie to get MY coffee. My name was ALWAYS misheard then inadvertently written incorrectly.

Behold...

Betsy.

& spelt correctly :) 

on MY PSL! 

Made me feel like a STAR. 

I was beaming. 

Today, when was the last time you braced yourself for miscommunication, or disappointment or confrontation?!? 

Did it turn out as you had expected??? Sometimes when we have these preconceived notions of how our experiences will turn out, we miss the Magic.
