I was journaling about my "Career" Bc I want to articulate exactly what my dream job is.
"Career" is such an interesting way to put it. "Career" makes it an entirely different thing then just a job.
A "Career" becomes a journey. Something you work towards. Occasionally, sacrificing life things to make it happen.
"Career" becomes a life purpose.
The word "Career" doesn't work for me. It's something I'm chasing. It's an excuse for NOT living life. It's also a constant pursuit, not an achievement. "Career" is an action word. "Career" is in motion. It's not your occupation which is a title for what you do. Your "Career" IS your pursuit. Never really arrive. I get disengaged when I hear the word Career. Which is why I couldn't journal about it!
When I hear the word "Career"...
I don't think Passion. Life force. Love.
I hear gray robots, 1980's suits with over-sized shoulder pads.
9-5 cage life. Overworked.
Other people keeping me from my dreams.
Maybe, "Career" is the wrong word to get the journal juices flowing ;)
Today, Does the word "Career" work for you?!? The " " around the word gives a clue of how I feel about it! ;)
Journal with me...
"A day in the life of your dream job...occupation...profession, vocation...employment..."
Xoxo
