My SIL, taught me somen pretty cool. She said that before you go to another human to go to God first. 

Now...

This is tough for me. 

Bc...

Sh*t goes down and I want my dawgs there. I need my ride or dies close. My crew to make me feel safe and justified. 

But...

What if in that moment, it was more powerful to tell no one. 

No man. 

No woman. 

Be quiet. 

Reflect. 

Pray. 

Chat with God. 

Her rule is to Go to God first. 

Period. 

This may sound easy and simple. 

It’s not. 

It is incredibly hard to shift choices towards a new healthy path. 

Today, Who is your number one on your speed dial?!?? Whom do you call first?!? 

Second? 

Third? 

Fourth? 

Fifth? 

Etc. 

Does God make it to your top 10?!!

He didn’t on mine. I was so terrified to ask for anything from God. So I didn’t. 

Time to update the order of my emergency contacts! God +1!
