You Have No Power Over Me...Narcissist

My BFF has been quoting the Labyrinth since the Summer. 

She said ALL along that I needed to say this one monologue to my personal Jareth. 

"Through Dangers untold and hardships unnumbered, I have fought my way here to the castle beyond the Goblin City to take back the child that you have stolen, for my will is as strong as yours, and my kingdom is great-You have No Power Over Me."

She would send me memes of this. She would quote it all the time. 

Till finally...

I was honest with her. 

& Told my Sci-fi Fantasy Loving BFF that I never saw the Labyrinth. 

GASP. 

For serious, she had a heart attack. 

So...

Bc she is my Valentine tomorrow one of her surprise gifts is me watching the movie!!!

Along with a bunch of candies and flowers of course ;) 

Anyhoot! 

I saw the Labyrinth and UH MA GAHHHHH. 

That whole scene was exactly my experience meeting my Narcissists ex. 

Now, people throw around the N word ALOT. 

But...

In this case. 

It's truth. 

He has been diagnosed with personality disorders. 

The Narcissists cycle was a damaging ride with this guy. 

The Love Bombing is real. 

But...

Forget about the LIES & cheating. The Discard was the hardest part. 

His detached robot like response devoid of any human emotions are tough to be on the receiving end of. Especially, Bc I did nothing to deserve it. 

So...

My will is as strong as yours. 

You have put me through Danger. 

You have put me through hardships. 

I have fought my way here to meet you.

Today, have you confronted your Boogie Man?!?! We all have our own personal Boogie Man! 

Boss, Sister in law, frenemy?!?? There is someone in your life right now who is casting a shadow over you. They have abused you and hurt you immeasurably & yet you still haven't stood up for yourself. 

Who is it? 

Say their name out loud. 

Isn't now a good time to address them? 

Live in your power and in your light. 

Take down your Boogie Man! 

They are always so much less than what we make them out to be when we finally see them for the cowards they truly are.
